Career
- Prior to joining Adon Legal, Gytė Maleckaitė was an Associate Partner at Ellex Valiunas, where she advised leading asset management companies, banks, investment companies and Fintechs on a wide range of regulatory and compliance matters. Her work focused on obtaining AIFM licenses, structuring and setting up diverse types of AIFs, and ensuring regulatory alignment with the Bank of Lithuania. She provided comprehensive guidance on SFDR documentation, MiFID, MiCA, and ESG policy development, and supported institutions through Bank of Lithuania inspections and licensing processes. Gytė also worked with international clients on market entry strategies, assisting global hedge funds, crowdfunding platforms, and brokerage firms in structuring their business models for EU and Lithuanian markets.
- Her previous experience includes a senior role as Assistant Manager at EY, where she provided comprehensive assistance and advisory services requiring cross-disciplinary expertise in corporate, commercial, and financial sectors. At EY, Gytė specialized in complex business solutions, offering strategic insights into various business models and addressing tax considerations across jurisdictions. She supported clients with corporate and commercial matters, such as incorporation, M&A, and legal due diligence, while also advising on shareholders’ rights, management structures, and capital issues. In addition, Gytė also had in-house roles at Lithuanian Airports, as well as asset management companies Dovre Forvaltning and Prudentis, where she managed a broad scope of regulatory, corporate, and operational responsibilities. In these roles, Gytė led efforts to acquire and expand asset management licenses and managed key corporate matters, including capital increases, M&A transactions, shareholder and director responsibilities, and corporate governance.

- Assisting a leading asset management company in obtaining an AIF management license;
- Assisting a Norwegian-owned asset management company in obtaining a UCITS management license;
- Advising on the establishment and securing Bank of Lithuania approval for various UCITS and AIFs, including those investing in real estate, litigation proceedings, shares, bonds, and other funds;
- Supporting asset managers in setting up diverse AIF structures, from partnerships to investment funds;
- Conducting studies on different types of AIFs with recommendations for optimal alternatives;
