ADON legal is pleased to announce the successful completion of the acquisition of the electronic money institution UAB IBS Lithuania. The acquisition was carried out by Czech-based companies Alphaduct a.s. and Open Sky Finance, a.s. ADON legal provided legal assistance throughout the process, facilitating the negotiation of the transaction and obtaining necessary regulatory approvals, including that from the Bank of Lithuania.

We assisted Taiwanese capital company FinCause, UAB throughout the licensing process of an electronic money institution. The company plans to service EEA businesses and contribute to the further growth of cooperation between EEA and Taiwan by facilitating smooth international payments. The scope of the license will enable the company to provide a broad range of payment services, and, thus, act as the main payments’ partner for its clients. 

We are excited to announce that our team at ADON legal recently had the opportunity to work with GALIO GROUP, UAB as their strategic legal advisor in a financing transaction with SEB Latvia.

ADON legal team advised and represented Lithuanian leading sustainable developer GALIO GROUP in the acquisition of EUR 26,000,000 loan from Citadele Bank, including negotiations on term-sheet, loan and security documentation.

ADON legal team assisted PAYMONT, UAB with obtainment of an electronic money institution (EMI) license from the Bank of Lithuania.

ADON legal assisted Šeili, UAB with setting-up of business operations as a consumer credit provider and mortgage credit provider. The law firm drafted internal documentation of the company and represented Šeili, UAB and its shareholders in both procedures carried out with the Bank of Lithuania.

ADON legal assisted Protean Risk Limited (a registered Lloyds broker) in adapting the PSD Bond to the Lithuanian laws and coordinating it with the Bank of Lithuania. PSD Bond is an insurance product for the safeguarding of clients’ funds of electronic money institutions (EMIs) and payment institutions (PIs).

Team of ADON legal assisted UAB „Kredito partneris“ with setting-up of business operations and inclusion of the company in the list of lenders acting in accordance to the Law on Real Estate Related Credit. The law firm drafted all internal documentation of the company and represented it before the Bank of Lithuania. The team of ADON legal consisted of partner Donatas Šliora, and associate Tadas Matusevičius.

Donatas Šliora of ADON legal assisted IBS Lithuania with the process of revising the electronic money institution license. Having been issued a renewed license by Bank of Lithuania the company will support acquiring through Chinese e-wallets (such as WeChat Pay, Alipay etc.), issue debit cards, enable top-up of accounts by cash, provide money remittance services, etc.
